The Direct™

Never before has there been talk of digital innovation and “remote” teaching in this period, but the path of this transformation can be difficult. We are convinced that the creativity of the world of theater can be an important driving force for this revolution and the world of children the most fertile ground to welcome it.

Unique in Europe for the live broadcasting of theatrical performances: 5 full HD cameras, 1 HD 360 ° camera, direct sound and live video, 4 Rai and Mediaset operators, 1,700,000 pixel resolution for LED screens, 100 lighting bodies of which 50 motorized, 1 guaranteed bandwidth connection of 100 Megabytes with fiber backup … And all this to give life to the virtual theater ™: the only theater with the virtual participation and presence of the public in the stalls. A Mater Lingua exclusivity!

So this year we have studied an alternative to “live” theater: the same titles, the same educational path, the same plots, the same exercises and the same actors, so where is the deception? What is the difference from the live show? No witchcraft, simply live theater arrives directly in the classroom thanks to the tools that technology makes available: the opportunity to attend the theatrical experience through the screen, live live!

Imagine the situation: you in the classroom with your students, at a distance we are there with our mother tongue actors on the stage of a theater where everything is set up as if to welcome the audience in the hall. The set designs, the lights aimed, the actors wearing make-up and in costume.

The actors will enter in your classrooms through the screen as you can enter the theater in a virtual and interactive way. It will be like being there! You will be able to applaud, ask questions, sing, light up the scene with your eyes. The actors will be able to see and hear you.

And you will all be in the front row!

La Belle Epoque

The Belle Époque is not only a French historical period but also and above all a movement of social, cultural and artistic development. A period of rebirth from the Great Depression of the late 19th century, full of novelties and changes; a bit like what we are facing today.
These are years during which important inventions in the technical, medical and scientific fields have led to a progressive increase in people’s well-being. A period in which women leave the “foyer” to actively participate in political and social life.
The concept of “free time” peeps out: a lifestyle richer in stimuli, made up of travel, evening outings, lightheartedness and the desire to exchange knowledge with other nations. Hence the Lumière brothers’ cinema, the Universal Exposition, the modern Olympics, cabaret theaters and nightclubs such as the Moulin Rouge and its famous Cancan.
The topics covered want to be a tribute to this period of innovation that has been able to transform the social and economic changes of the moment into opportunities.

Ubuntu

Life of Nelson Mandela

“To the South African people, of all races and backgrounds, the whole world says thank you for sharing Nelson Mandela with us all. His struggle was your struggle. His triumph was your triumph. Your dignity and your hope were best expressed in his life, and your freedom and your democracy are the appreciated legacy he left.”

This is the opening sentence of President Obama’s speech at the Nelson Mandela Memorial. We want to tell you the story of Mandela: a man, whose name was “Rolihlahla”, which in the Xhosa language means “he who causes trouble”. The “troubles” are his choice to be a young revolutionary to defend the rights of his people but in prison, in front of himself, Nelson will rediscover the “Ubuntu” philosophy of his childhood and will make it a guide to restore hope to ‘ entire South African people.

“I am because we are” has become a weapon to destroy apartheid and write its legend.
